The Chorale is actively seeking new members in all vocal sections!
The Chorale has happily returned to in-person rehearsals and live performance, and we encourage interested singers with choral experience and the ability to read music to audition! Listen to some samples of our work here.
Auditions for the Chorale are typically held in August and January. Please contact our Business office with any inquiries.
Rehearsals are held Monday evenings from 7
to 9:30 pm at the Unitarian Society of New Haven.
A typical audition includes a brief warm-up to determine range and flexibility, and singing a short solo piece of your choice.

If you are a singer with a passion for choral music, have a desire to improve your musical skills, and would like to use your music to get involved in community outreach, I urge you to audition for the New Haven Chorale! The Chorale is an amazing, auditioned community of choral musicians from diverse backgrounds and careers who are united by their love of choral singing and devotion to excellence. The members of the Chorale love to sing great choral music, but usually tell me that they not only ‘love’ to sing, but ‘need’ to sing because it is an important aspect of their lives. Since its founding in 1950, the New Haven Chorale has been a vital musical and cultural asset to the Greater New Haven community, and we would love to include you!
